Necromancy: controlling, summoning and communicating with ghosts; animating corpses; resurrecting the dead. It’s a gift bestowed upon the worthy by Death itself. Aspen wasn’t deemed worthy.

For the past four years, Aspen has studied at Khyden University, seeking a way to obtain magic against Death’s wishes, a never before achieved feat. Her failures are bound to continue, until she meets Vienn.

To the rest of the world, Vienn died twenty-five years ago. In reality, she’s been alive, trapped in the land of the dead, only able to escape now her sacrilegious experiment has recommenced. It’s an experiment Aspen’s determined to join, confident this is her solution.
